AirDoctor telemedicine should be the first place that you seek medical care for non-emergency illnesses and injuries, as it can save you time and money. Your insurance plan includes access to AirDoctor, and you can schedule a virtual appointment from the comfort of your own home.

Before you seek medical care, you will need to activate your account so you can schedule a Virtual Doctor’s visit:

Getting Setup with AirDoctor

After activating your account, you can schedule a virtual doctor’s visit at any time! You will need to complete your medical history before your visit, and a doctor will then contact you via your preferred method.

Please note — there may be some circumstances where AirDoctor will treat a condition that your insurance plan does not cover. If you are given a prescription or referral for an ineligible injury or illness, these costs will not be covered under your insurance plan when you submit a claim. Please review your policy certificate, in the MyDocuments section of your Student Zone, for your full plan benefits and exclusions.

  • Why am I having trouble registering for AirDoctor?

    There could be a few reasons why you cannot register for the AirDoctor service. The most common reasons include:
    • You have entered the incorrect email address — You will need to be sure to register with the email address associated with your insurance enrollment.
    • Your account is not active with AirDoctor yet — Once you are enrolled in our system, it will take 48 to 72 hours before you will be able to register for your AirDoctor account. We would suggest waiting a few days after you receive your insurance documents to proceed with setting up your AirDoctor account.
    • Your Location is not available — You will need to allow AirDoctor permission to access your location through your web browser before you can schedule a virtual doctor’s visit.
  • What Health Concerns Can AirDoctor Help Treat?

    You can use AirDoctor to help treat non-emergency health issues like sinus problems, respiratory infections, allergies, flu symptoms, rashes, and many other illnesses.
  • How Can I Access AirDoctor?

    Once you have set up your account, you can access AirDoctor through your computer, tablet, or phone. You can download the mobile apps here:

  • How Does AirDoctor Work?

    After you've created your account, it's simple to request a real-time video, app, or phone consultation with one of AirDoctor’s providers. A doctor will review your medical history and perform a video exam or phone consultation, usually within minutes. You will then receive a medical record and care instructions electronically, along with any necessary prescriptions sent to your local pharmacy. If you require urgent care, you will be immediately referred to the nearest emergency room or urgent care center. The entire telehealth visit is completed on average within 30 minutes or less.
  • How Much Does the Service Cost?

    You will have a certain number of free visits through AirDoctor, depending on the length of your coverage. Once you’ve used all of your free AirDoctor visits, you can still access this service, but you will be required to pay the full visit fee to make an appointment with a doctor. The visit fee will vary depending on the type of service.
  • How Long Until I Can Speak with a Doctor?

    AirDoctor consultations are based on the current demand, with an average wait time of 45 minutes, and 80% of appointments occurring within 3 hours.
  • Does AirDoctor provide support in other languages?

    Yes! AirDoctor offers services in up to 21 languages. Availability varies depending on location and is not guaranteed.
  • Can I Get a Prescription?

    Yes, doctors can submit prescriptions for pick-up at your local pharmacy through the AirDoctor service. Depending on your plan, you may need to pay for your prescription upfront and submit a claim against your insurance plan for reimbursement.
  • What if I Need a Referral?

    If you are referred for follow-up care outside of AirDoctor, any further visits will be handled by your insurance per the benefits of your plan and will need to be submitted to your insurance company for processing.
