Getting Started

To get started with Global Telehealth, please follow these simple steps:

Download the Global Health Complete App ( Apple | Android)

New users: Select "Don't have an account?" and follow the on-screen prompts to register. When asked for your member/customer number, enter code MBA01350-704161.
Returning users: Once registered, you can use your username and password to log back in any time.

On the Home page, select either "Request a video consultation" or "Request a phone call" and follow the prompts to request your consultation.

At the time of your consultation, go to the Appointments page and select "Start video call" or "Call in" to connect with your doctor.

What is Telehealth?

Illness or injury can strike suddenly. Telehealth gives you access to medical help via telephone or web, any time, day or night. Using Cigna’s Global Telehealth service, you can connect with a provider online from any location, and receive a diagnosis and personalized treatment plan, including prescriptions for common medications, when necessary.

How does Global Telehealth work?

After you’ve created your account it's simple to request a real-time video, app or phone consultation with one of Global Telehealth's providers. Your provider will review your medical history and perform a video exam or phone consultation within minutes. You will then receive a medical record and care instructions electronically, with any necessary prescriptions sent to your local pharmacy. If you require urgent care you will be immediately referred to the nearest emergency room or urgent care center. The entire telehealth visit is completed on average within 30 minutes or less.

What health concerns can Global Telehealth help treat?

Global Telehealth allows you to talk to a doctor by phone, video chat, or mobile app about non-emergency health issues like sinus problems, respiratory infections, allergies, flu symptoms, rashes, and many other illnesses. Your doctor will diagnose your symptoms and provide treatment, which may include a prescription.

Can Global Telehealth be accessed in different languages?

Yes! Global Telehealth offers services in the following languages:

  • Video: English and Spanish
  • Telephonic: English, Spanish, French, German, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Hungarian, Czech, Romanian, Dutch, Cantonese Korean, Malay, Thai, Japanese, Bahasa and Vietnamese

How much does the service cost?

Access to Global Telehealth is included in your plan, so there are no costs associated with your video or telephone consultation.

Can I get a prescription?

When medically necessary Global Telehealth providers can submit an electronic prescription for pick-up at your local pharmacy. You would then need to pay for this and submit a claim against your insurance plan for reimbursement.

What if I need a referral?

If you are referred for follow up care outside of Global Telehealth, any further visits will be handled by your insurance and will need to be submitted to your insurance claims team for processing.

Please note — There may be some circumstances where Global Telehealth will treat you on a per visit basis, but your insurance plan may exclude that benefit. So if you are given a prescription or referral, these will not be covered under your insurance plan when you submit to be reimbursed for those expenses. Please review your policy certificate, in your Student Zone, for your full plan benefits and exclusions.
